Why I built lquest

A letter from one parent to another โœ๏ธ

This isn't just another learning app.

A while ago, my wife and I were called into a meeting with my son's teachers, principal, and school counselor. They told us something no parent wants to hear:

"He's falling behind. He's not making the progress we expected."

As a parent, that was heartbreaking.

I wasn't trying to build a business. I wasn't looking to create an app. I just wanted to help my son learn English.

Instead of forcing him to study, I spent a week simply observing him. I wanted to understand what truly motivated him.

That's when I noticed something...

๐Ÿ†

He loved earning trophies

โญ

He loved unlocking achievements

๐ŸŽฏ

He loved collecting stickers

๐ŸŽฎ

He loved feeling like he was winning

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ

It wasn't about me saying, "Good job."

๐Ÿคฉ

It was about him feeling proud of himself.

That led me down a path of researching how children learn and what keeps them engaged.

I discovered something fascinating: many children are naturally motivated by positive feedback, small achievements, rewards, and a sense of progress. When learning becomes exciting, they want to keep going.

So I decided to build LQuest.

Instead of making another educational app, I wanted to create an adventure where learning feels like a game - but the real reward is learning to read.

Kids earn:

Trophies
Achievements
Badges
Rewards
๐ŸŽฏ
Daily goals
๐ŸŽ‰
Positive encouragement

The goal isn't just to play. The goal is to build confidence while learning to read.

The results amazed me.

โค๏ธ My son used LQuest for less than one hour a day, and after just one week, his reading improved far more than I expected. Seeing him smile instead of getting frustrated reminded me why I started this journey.

Now I'd love to see if LQuest can help other families too.

๐Ÿ’™ One small favor

In return, all I ask is for your honest feedback. Please tell us:

  • What your child enjoys.
  • What could be improved.
  • What features would make learning even more exciting.

Every suggestion helps us build something better for the next child who may be struggling just like my son was.

If this story reminds you of your own child - or another family who could benefit - please share it with them.

My hope is simple: to help children discover that learning doesn't have to be frustrating... it can be exciting, rewarding, and something they actually look forward to every day. โค๏ธ
